Inn the Park opens in the serene haven of Al Khazzan Cadillac Park

Think of the big blue and white striped water tank opposite City Walk, and yes, that’s the location of the city’s latest state of the art ‘green’ park, Al Khazzan Cadillac Park, which is now home to Dubai’s newest café, Inn the Park.

Another brainchild from the creators of Bystro on Sheik Zayed Road, the menu includes healthy organic eggs, breads and local produce, included in key dishes, like crunchy shrimp taco and  smashed avocado with organic eggs, asparagus, feta and mint. Healthy smoothies and fresh juices are on offer, as are all day breakfasts. Inn the Park serves locally-made RAW coffee products, alongside a variety of artisan teas and home made blends.

Josh Benson, founder of the Bystro Group of Restaurants, said: “The idea was to have a organic name that is easy to associate with when you are planning an outing with family and friends. ‘Inn the Park’ is a café with a chilled and relaxed environment for a great day out. Our menu is a modern café offering along with healthy fresh juices and organic eggs and a gluten-free range for the health conscious. ”

Inn the Park café has an urban,  social vibe giving visitors a calm and refreshing feel. The venue boasts three distinct areas – seating under the oldest tree in the UAE at the heart of the park, in a ‘library’ setting, where there are power points aplenty and good WiFi, or in the large event style area, which features large tables and ample seating. And, of course, there’s nothing to stop you from grabbing a healthy breakfast, a good coffee, and sitting on the grass.

Powered by solar panels, the small, family-friendly park was constructed by two Emirati brothers, Ahmed & Rasheed Bin Shabib.

The park’s library is curated by the ‘Brownbook’ team– the bi-monthly arts and lifestyle magazine that acts as an urban guide to the Middle East and North Africa. Visitors can take advantage of free books that can be loaned while spending time at the park or the café.

“Inn The Park is a place where guests can escape from city life, kids can stretch their legs on the swings and slides, and you can receive plenty of vitamin D for free,” concluded Benson.

Timing: 9am -7pm, every day.
